Your benefits
The sodium-ion cell chemistry is very robust and has a wide range of applications
Store electricity in a sustainable and eco-friendly way
Sodium-ion batteries do not rely on scarce elements like lithium, cobalt, nickel, or copper. This makes them a highly sustainable and environmentally friendly solution for electricity storage.
Fast charging and discharging capability
Fully charged in just 20 minutes – and that over 5,000 cycles. Initial tests indicate the potential for even higher peak currents, allowing for even faster discharge.
Operates reliably in temperatures as low as -30°C.
Discharges at 80% capacity even at -30°C, with charging possible down to -20°C. Ideally suited for cold regions.
If space is limited, simply install it outdoors.
Battery technology of the future
Sodium is one of the most abundant elements on Earth, most commonly known and enjoyed as salt. Unlike lithium, sodium can be mined easily and in an environmentally friendly manner. Moreover, it is available in vast quantities worldwide. Recent advancements have enabled its use in batteries, achieving energy densities comparable to those of lithium iron phosphate batteries.
Sodium instead of lithium. Batteries made from salt.
